Non-DOT/Non-Federal donors can report to our facilities up to fifteen (15) minutes prior to our site closing time. DOT/Federal donors must arrive at least three (3) hours prior to site closing time to facilitate DOT/Federal testing requirements. (Appointments are only recommended if the drug test your company/program ordered needs to be directly observed.)

Bring all documentation provided to you by your Employer or their Third-Party Administrator (TPA) (including emailed test notification forms and/or authorization sheets with barcode numbers, and your original Photo ID Card (i.e. driver’s license, state-issued identification card, employee badge with photo). Copies of Photo ID Cards/Badges are not accepted.

Alcohol test results are instant, and available immediately following a test. Drug result turnaround time can vary depending on several factors, including specimen type, lab location, shipping service, confirmation testing, and Medical Review Officer (MRO) processing time. Average drug result time frames can take 2 to 7 business days.

A copy of the custody form from your specimen collection will be provided to you following test completion by the collector. You should retain this receipt for your own records as proof of screening, as you may need to reference it with your employer or their Medical Review Officer (MRO).

You should return all calls/emails regarding your drug test. Most likely, it is the Medical Review Officer (MRO) contracted by your employer reaching out to discuss pertinent details of your result. The quicker you respond, the faster your employer can get your test result. If needed, you can find the MRO’s contact information located in the top right corner of the custody form you received following your test. TESI Screening, Managed By Blue Arbor does not make this contact, nor can we pass information between you and your employer’s MRO.

Results of tests requested by an employer are reported directly back to the employer’s representative. You should inquire with your employer whether they will allow you to receive a copy.

DOT, Federal, and some Non-DOT employers/programs require directly observed urine screens. (A directly observed urine test is when a same-gender observer watches the act of urination occur.) DOT/Federal employers must adhere to stringent regulations mandated by the U.S. Government. Failure to report for a test, or finish a test, among other things, could be considered a Test Refusal. Non-DOT/Non-Federal donors should refer to their employer’s substance abuse policy or consult their employer representative for private company rules regarding uncompleted tests.

DOT, Federal, and Non-DOT employers have policies requiring alcohol testing. Check your employer’s screening policy to determine if you are subject to alcohol testing.

Not necessarily. DOT/Federal employer alcohol thresholds are mandated by the U.S. Government. Non-DOT employers set their own alcohol thresholds, and they can vary greatly by private employer policies.
